Well, last week was busier than ever! If you haven't heard from me in a while, it's because I just wrapped up my last week at Gallaudet University, where I've been working and learning for the past 3 years. What an experience it's been! I have been challenged in more ways than I expected, but I have grown so much; and ultimately, achieved my dream of becoming fluent in sign language...meanwhile, making some great friends that made leaving very bittersweet! (See below)
I am extremely excited though, for this next phase of life, as I begin my new job today as a full-time wife to Steve and soon-to-be mama to our little man. I know this to be God's best calling yet for my life, and I am thrilled to be beginning this new chapter!
My great bosses got together and took me to my favorite Thai restaraunt to say thank you and goodbye...Paul (left) pretends to hold me at "knife-point" for leaving!!

THEN, as if lunch wasn't enough, they got together and threw me a huge surprise baby shower and farewell party!!!
This is everyone waiting for me to be "brought in"...cluelessly!

The cutest diaper cake ever:

THEN, several people took turns telling (embarassing!) funny stories from the last several years...most of which made me turn bright red, but certainly had everyone laughing!! ;)

The whole Student Affairs gang!!

My party hat! Apparently, all of these bows have something to do with how many children we'll be having. Hmmmm.......?!

So fun!! What a great group to work with!!
