Our Californian visitors!

You may remember Aunt Susie & Uncle Jeff from our California trip this past summer. They were the superb planners, organizers, hosts and orchestrators of the phenomenal house boat trip!
Well, we are so happy because we got to see them again this past weekend!
They are in DC for a conference and we were able to spend lots of time with them...

...Mostly laughing and being silly!!

Visiting their fancy digs!!

Okay, back to the silliness...

We love you, Jeff & Susie!! Thanks for the incredible long talks and an awesome visit!!

A B-U-S-Y week of farewells and celebrations!!

Well, last week was busier than ever! If you haven't heard from me in a while, it's because I just wrapped up my last week at Gallaudet University, where I've been working and learning for the past 3 years. What an experience it's been! I have been challenged in more ways than I expected, but I have grown so much; and ultimately, achieved my dream of becoming fluent in sign language...meanwhile, making some great friends that made leaving very bittersweet! (See below)

I am extremely excited though, for this next phase of life, as I begin my new job today as a full-time wife to Steve and soon-to-be mama to our little man. I know this to be God's best calling yet for my life, and I am thrilled to be beginning this new chapter!

My great bosses got together and took me to my favorite Thai restaraunt to say thank you and goodbye...Paul (left) pretends to hold me at "knife-point" for leaving!! THEN, as if lunch wasn't enough, they got together and threw me a huge surprise baby shower and farewell party!!!
This is everyone waiting for me to be "brought in"...cluelessly!The cutest diaper cake ever:
THEN, several people took turns telling (embarassing!) funny stories from the last several years...most of which made me turn bright red, but certainly had everyone laughing!! ;)
The whole Student Affairs gang!! Cutting the Baby/Farewell Cake:
My dear friend Gwen
My party hat! Apparently, all of these bows have something to do with how many children we'll be having. Hmmmm.......?!
So fun!! What a great group to work with!!

MY HUSBAND IS MY HEROOOOOO!!!!

Like our new look?!

I do. I mean, WOW.

I have struggled for MONTHS in working with several very frustrating blog designers, to no avail. Since April, Steve has listened to my frustrations with these various people as I sent design idea after design idea, only to never hear from them again or be placed on a six month waiting list and still never hear from them again...so what's an INCREDIBLE husband such as Steve to do?

Figure out himself how to give me EXACTLY what I want, OF COURSE!! So, my dear husband, in all of his computer giftedness, sat down and spent a great deal of time and effort to give me the blog design of my dreams!!!

THANKS, HONEY...YOU'RE THE BEST!!!

;o) Isn't it cool?! ;o)

Bodies!! Neat-O!!

This is where we went this weekend:

It was super-cool!! Real human bodies preserved so you could see EVERYTHING inside the body in its "natural" form (without the skin). Highly recommended exhibit!!

A visit from Ya-Ya!

My (Savannah's) mom came for a visit to DC this past weekend. We trekked around DC doing the touristy thing, ate too much (what else is new?!;) and opened lots of great birthday gifts!

Oh, and I had to include my "official" 25-weeks pic:
Thanks for a great visit, Ya-Ya!!
