We had a big adventure while the men were off to New York...we headed to DC to a special service at the National Cathedral to hear our friends' grandfather speak for the 77th Anniversary of the Air Force and the 5th Anniversary of the Space Force...it was SO NEAT!!

The seats were all filled up! Since we were guests of the main speaker, we got to sit right up front.
The orchestra and choir were AMAZING!!!
It was SO beautiful and patriotic!
Highlights included singing the Star-Spangled Banner, It is Well With My Soul and Amazing Grace (with BAGPIPES!) with the full Air Force Orchestra and Choir. Oh the acoustics!!
I am so sad to report that all of my beautiful video clips will not upload to Blogger, so I cannot share the AMAZING music that I videoed to share π₯π₯ BIG bummer.
It was a blessed time with our friends!
The Cathedral was stunning!
This stained glass holds an actual moon rock donated to the Cathedral!
πππVery cool!πππ
We toured around afterwards - Woodrow Wilson's tomb is in the sanctuary and there are very many other interesting statues and figure heads...
The stained glass was stunning...
We were saying good-bye to George here π and stumbled upon a great surprise!!
A LEGO ROOM!!! Where the "National Cathedral" was actually "under construction"....
πππ²π²SO COOL!!!π²π²ππ
The kiddos were in heaven!
The "lead builder" then let us all build a brick!!
(Apparently this is normally a privilege one has to pay for, but he granted us this gift!)
Brick by brick this will go up as people make donations...super cool experience!
Such a fun and special day!!
