More Beach-Lake FUN!!!

We had such a great time this week with some old and dear friends at our favorite summer spot! 

 James had three little friends to play with...

 But really, we ALL enjoyed ourselves! 

 It was so great to catch up with two of my dearest girlfriends and celebrate our changing seasons of life - some of us are watching our babies spread their wings and leave the nest, others are welcoming new little ones into the nest, and others of us (me!) are right in between.  

It is so sweet to have understanding, fellowship and encouragement for every stage.  

 Sadly, the day ended with thunder and a clearing of the beach...but it was already 4:30 at this point...we just like to stay until the very, very last moment...but we enjoyed so much sunshine and laughter, it was another wonderful summer day at the lake!!

 Lil' J has become quite the Lego Maniac, making more and more complex creations daily...

 Trying to scramble and find masks for my kids to go in the stores now requiring them...LOL!!

My Dollar Store eye masks will fit the bill perfectly...🤣🤣🤣 

 New bathing suit!  This gal is excited! 

 This is what Chief Tiny Mighty looks like in full force...

"Daddy, I will be leading and reading the Bible today"...and so he does.

(And somehow...it's ALWAYS the Book of James!🤣)

The Beach LAKE!!! Summer fave!!

Everyone is excited to hit our favorite BEACH-L A K E!!! 

 The kids dive in the minute we arrive!!

 It is SO BEAUTIFUL and peaceful!!! 

It's the mountains! It's the beach!  It's a lake!  

Oooooh….it's BOTH!!  

Look at those HAPPY MAMA FEET!!!

 It got a little crowded mid-day, but it was still awesome!! 

 Beach picnics are the best!!! 

 We stayed ALL DAY...like, left home before 9 and got home after 7!!

 All showered and sleepy-eyed, ready to head home!!

 Also this week, Joshua ran some errands with Daddy early morning and came back with some time to spare...so he decided to do "Bro-School" to James's great delight!! 

It was the kindest-melt-mama's-heart moment ever!! 

 AND THEN he decided to make lunch for everyone!!!

Such an incredible young man...we are so blessed!! 

 We also had some friends over this week to JAM!!!

 In other BIG news...Daddy built Joshua a REAL computer and got it all set up for him this week!!

J was so excited and they spent much time playing around with it and getting it all going.

They installed various video-editing apps for Joshua to use with his new Go-Pro footage!  

 So cool, so proud of him!! 

Summer YUMMMMM!!

Is it just us, or is there something unique about summer and YUMMY food?!  

It's all so fresh and bursting with REAL flavors...LOVE IT!! 

 James helped me to get ready for a summer picnic for our hardworking family after an all day Saturday yardwork fest!!  

 He is quite the Fizzy Lemonade maker!!! 

 We had fresh squeezed Raspberry Lemonade, Favamooo Burgers and Sweet Potato Fries with all the fixins'!  

 Daddy joined us after his mowing-mania!!! 

 And OH THE SUMMER BERRIES!!!  

They are just divine...

 Mama made Yogurt Parfaits with tons of fresh berries and they were quite a hit!! 

 Strawberry Chicken Summer Salad anyone?!...

...And our recent stop to the Farmer's Market yielded one AMAZING fresh dinner!!!  

Sweet Natalie arranged it all beautifully:

Steve started this tradition 15 years ago when he went kayaking with a friend and stopped at the market on the way home to bring me loads of fresh summer yumminess.  

Now the kids love to have our annual "Summer Meal" as many times as we can get to the market in the summer!!

Oh and the CORN on the COB!!!!!!!!!
