An (almost!) week of Mother's Day sweetness...

Mother's Day was the day after the Airsoft Battle...we hosted 60 people for church and lunch...the boys made breakfast and this momma was ready for some R-and-R!!! 

My sweet husband got me beautiful roses and there were lovely cards from kids, friends and grandparents! 

The best part was the next day though...lunch with me + Mr. Nobody 😂😂...pure heaven right there...

And another day out with my girlie...💖💖...always a precious favorite!!

And then my own mother surprised me with a BEAUTIFUL bouquet of flowers...

(They were so pretty I had to get both angles 😁)

I am so blessed to be momma to my four PRECIOUS TREASURES!!!!

The EPIC AIRSOFT BATTLE!!!!! (Part 2) - Behind the scenes and the after party!

We three saw the boys off to battle and then headed in to get the after-party ready!!

We had big fun assembling the spread...

Daddy came by several times to get the little boys and show them the action...

(Needless to say...they were in heaven 😁)

After the battles finally ended, everyone assembled around the fire pit for the after-party!! 

Nice spring day, eh?!  😕

Nonetheless, the warriors were ready to regale us with battle-tales...

We had a great hot dog roast topped off with s'mores!  

Daddy was sure to get a solid after-action-report with each young man telling what he learned...

All-in-all it was a fantastic evening and wonderful day!!! 

Night-time volleyball is always a hit with the teens...

While us old folk like to sit around the camp fire...

What an AMAZING EVENT!!!!  We are so proud of our son who put this all together!! 

The EPIC AIRSOFT BATTLE!!!!! (Part 1)

 💪😎We are SO PROUD of Joshua!!!!😎💪

He has been working for weeks on planning a huge Airsoft Battle with young men from all over our area!  He has coordinated, planned and managed this massive project and it was a TREMENDOUS SUCCESS!!  

With much planning and anticipation, battle day has arrived!!

Despite LOTS of rain, the young men gathered for registration, weapons check and prayer...

The referees, trainers and EMT's were on hand for the battleground!! 

Coolers, gear and some very excited young men headed out to "the battlefield"...

(And even one brave momma went to check out the scene 😂)

Team #1 was off...

Team #2 ate muffins around the registration table and strategized...

And off to the battlefield went Team #2!! 

The battlefield was painstakingly roped off...

Joshua and Daddy built some pretty awesome forts!! 

This became part "battle" and part training for how to work as a team!!

They weathered all manner of cold, wind, rain and MUDDDDD to persevere in an awesome day of learning and growing together!!

EDIBLE LEGOS, baking bliss and MORE butterflies!!

We had some out of town visitors and they brought the kiddos a very cool treat...

Edible Legos!  

Now I know, I know, edible Legos have been around for years...we even have had the gummy ones, but these are ACTUAL clickable Legos that you can build with!!  Way cooler than the gummy ones...

Natalie has been at it again...😋😋😋

Then we had the coolest thing happen...our butterflies laid eggs and they hatched into a whole new batch of caterpillars!! 

Aren't they cuuuuute?! 😂

Here's hoping for more butterflies!!!!!!!!!
