Ok, so we're a TAD bit crazy about holidays and seasons around here.

WE LOVE THEM!!

We celebrate them with ridiculous amounts of fanfare. 

But hey, why not?!  

It's our way of marking the seasons, enjoying traditions, celebrating God's goodness and making sweet memories...what's not to love?!

And every kid loves a party and a day off school to celebrate! :)

We started the day with the boys making delicious pumpkin pancakes!

 Everyone gets to pick a favorite fall tea...maple, vanilla, pumpkin spice, yumm!!

 James got his very own cup-o-tea this year, and that was big. 

He thought he was a big cheese!

(Except he picked a Christmas mug, ha!)

Love, love, love God's creativity with the Fall...it is so gorgeous and I cannot WAIT to watch it unfold here in the mountains!!

Sunday sweet Sunday!

Have we mentioned that Sunday is everyone's favorite day of the week?!  

Yep. We love it.

Worship, music, fellowship, learning, growing, laughing, eating...literally, what could be better?!

 And this week included more sewing lessons!!

 The girls worked very hard and made...

 Ta-DA!!!

Their very own skirts!!

Natalie is thrilled to have the pattern and the knowledge and a sewing machine and weed-eating money in the bank to buy fabric with...watch out world, here she comes!

 And then these two put on a "concert" when we got home.  James is all kinds of serious about HIS violin.

Hilarious!!  

Natalie also had him recite all the parts of the violin.  

She's quite the teacher!

 And after hanging all the new roller blinds in the bedrooms, Joshua got to play his favorite Mad Libs game with daddy!

Saturday's roundup!

A snake comes near you?  Throw a rock at it to break it's back...and then chop it's head off with a branch...

EXCEPT WAIT...IT WAS A COPPERHEAD!!!!!!!!! 

We advised him to stay away next time!

 LUV this man who takes such good care of our land and our cars!!!

And that he teaches our little big man how to do it all while he's working too!

 Joshua refinished this picnic table last year and is now power washing it in order to stain and seal it...

And little man and I had our own fun!! 

James helped me put together a fun gift basket for our friends that are headed out of town to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary!
