Their new trick together (SO helpful!)

Joshua has taken over feeding Natalie! LOL!

It ended in quite a mess, but was nonetheless hilarious! They loved it!

He's getting really good!

They sing to each other while they play...it's so cute!

My outdoorsmen!

Is it just me, or does it seem like we take a lot of pictures indoors? I realized that it's because I never take my camera outside with us! Alas, we do go outside, mostly everyday...and weekends are great because Joshua gets to be outside with Daddy!
This is their standard Saturday... Joshua LOVES to wear his earmuffs (they are apparently necessary for any such outdoor activity) and ride his four-wheeler while daddy works on the PHIB...or, his most favorite is to RIDE the Phib with Daddy!

Jammin' nic-nics!

One beautiful fall day, we cranked up the tunes and decided to eat lunch on the deck... The kids thought it was great and had a blast dancing while I made lunch! Showing off their moves:

Nic-nic!!

What IS this thing?
Hmmmm....
Ah yes, shove it all in at once!
Okay, okay, I'll bite it.

Bye-bye GMO's...hello new foods!

We've been learning lots and lots about food lately and we're making some big changes!

This article started our thinking process, back in February. We're a little behind the times on this (I am thinking of many of you that read our blog that have eaten organic for as long as I can remember!). We also have a friend that lives on raw, raw, raw fruits and veggies and swears by this. Well, though it's been a long learning process (and will continue to be!), we've finally "gotten it" and we're cleaning house...literally!

We cleared our cabinets of all potential GMO foods and donated 110 pounds of food to the food bank! EVERYTHING had corn syrup in it! Who knew?!

So far, our bodies are thanking us for the changes...and our tummies too.

Joshua loved his organic pumpkin soup! For more info:

This book is great too! (Click to read about it)

Also one of our new favorites!: http://www.bulkherbstore.com/

Our recent order!!

And THIS lil' sweetie has single-handedly changed our life, overnight. It makes eating fresh fruits and veggies (okay, and everything else), and trying to make most things from scratch, an absolute delight! We are starting to make all of our own dressings, soups, spreads, etc. and it is so fun!

I don't have enough room to write the heaps of praise I want to sing for the Blendtec...it ROCKS! It is the last blender and grain mill and mixer and ice cream maker and fresh juice maker and pizza dough maker and jam/nut butters/jelly/salad dressing/baby food/soup maker we'll ever buy (YES, it does ALL of that and SOOOO MUCH MORE!). Absolutely an amazing machine!!

(And though they cost a small fortune, they are worth EVERY PENNY!!!:)

Happy, healthy eating to you!

The BIG shoot, a family affair!

Steve loves to get together with other families and work on teaching and practicing shooting. This time we all got to join and it was great fun!
Packing up: The dude is SO ready.
We arrived a little late due to naps, so the range (at a friends' farm) was already hopping!
Lots of daughters and moms! (and Joshua fans...!:)

Dads, moms and sons too!
Ear protection all around :) Are we the coolest family on the block, or what?! LOL.
The kids are soooo stylin' in their ear protection. I LOVE IT!
Certainly this is the proudest Papa on the block!
Another proud papa teaching his girls:
What a trooper! She had so much fun!

Joshua loved having so many friends there!
Some more pictures of the ladies!

Serious instructing going on:
There's my hunky hubby!
Best shot of the day (no pun intended!:)
Happiest two-year-old I know...wouldn't rather be anywhere else on earth than wherever his daddy is!
Goldfish? Check.

Ear protection? Check.

Eye protection? Check.

Daddy vision? Double check!

The Natalie DANCE!

Absolutely hilarious. Whenever music comes on, she'll just stop whatever she's doing and start "feeling" the beat...it starts as a slow and serious up-and-down motion.
Then, she just busts a move! (Sometimes, like captured here, props are also included).
Serious business, people.
