I try to walk every morning and today dictated a walk outside...and I must say, some days a loop around the hood is nothing short of breathtaking.  

God is truly an amazing artist!!

We're officially FARMERS!!!

So many of our friends farm in some capacity or another and we are just so. Not. Farmers.  BUT, we have joined the ranks, McMunchkin style!!!

We have a school project that dictates studying ants, and we went all out and got a giant ant farm!! Woohoo!

After 5 days:

(Lots of tunnels and lots of dead ants)

Final update 9/2/18:

"Nobody" (a silent being that visits our house from time to time) took the cap off the ant house and the remaining five living ants escaped!!!

We have had fun squishing them all over the place.

Consensus on ANT farming?

We are not cut out for it.

"Shhh, it's a secret Mommy!"

James was helping me make and roll pizza dough this morning and he looked at me so seriously and told me it was a secret...after asking several questions to figure out what he meant, I finally figured out that he wanted to be able to tell the whole family at dinner that HE had made the dinner for everyone and he was so proud of himself.

 HA! Too cute!! 

And...he's a bonafide LEFTIE!!!!

AND...he got his very own violin today!! N's violin teacher had someone ask her to "get rid of it", so she immediately thought of James and gave it to him today!!

So exciting!! 

He is always wanting to play with N.

 It's Sunday afternoon.

We're all laying around snuggling and snoozing...and little big man decides that he MUST take a 4 wheeler ride...and so as NOT to be left out...little man and big man decide they cannot miss out either, so I awake to quite a cute ruckus-circus going on in the backyard! ;)

Steve said James was HILARIOUS and cried "Weeee Daddy!!" and loved every minute of it. Surprise.

This little man scored a big find...$5 used!!...and he is in LOVE! 

 These two blow me away.  They are learning to play together (and sound good!), and compose music for fun!!

 We watch from the sidelines...and act very silly in the meantime...

Did I mention he is obsessed?!! ;)

And this gal!! So proud of her diligence and perseverance!! Two years of lessons and she is doing wonderfully!!

Aaaaahh... the homeschool life...pick up your books and your snack and head out into the summer sunshine to explore the world beyond!

The first tub deck looked AWFUL (see below), so after reporting the problem, they came back with a new one...and let me tell ya, it was well worth the wait to get it right!

Second time around...

The tub deck mess becomes beautiful!

Aaaah, much better to insist that it be done right, even when the company wants to send out a super sloppy product.
