I love Arts & Crafts Festivals, so this was an extra-special birthday treat! Everyone had big fun.

Natalie loved dancing to the Bluegrass bands...
Thankfully, at the candy tent, the kids were only interested in the stuffed elephant and not all the old-fashioned candy that had me drooling!

Finding some local fun!

We met some local hunters that let us help them spread their deer feed.

The kids thought throwing corn and apples was the greatest thing ever!

Throwing food?! Yesss!

Then we got a royal education on a "hunting blind"...what it is, how it works, etc. Pretty cool.

And of course, the day ended with - you guessed it - throwing rocks in the river!

Birthday vacation extraordinaire!

As you may remember from the last set of pictures, we loved the rocks and Shenandoah River!

They found every dirt pile and mud hole for miles

AND, we even weathered a hurricane and earthquake while we were there. Now that's some vacation.
