Catching up from Easter, part 2!

I realized a long time ago that the highlight of our every week has never been captured on our blog!  Our church family, and our weekly gatherings with them, are so near and dear to our hearts...yet when do you take a camera to church?! 

Well, a friend of mine brought hers on Easter Sunday and I was thrilled to be able to share some of her pictures from our weekly gathering here. 

 It's the best part of our week!

 We enjoy a fellowship luncheon after church.  The moms and dads talk and the kids color and play...it's so fun!

Catching up from Easter!

We decided to use the Resurrection Eggs this year in our Easter celebration!  It was a great way to share the Easter story with the kids and have fun, too!  They LOVED it.

 Each day leading up to Easter we read scripture and a companion book while opening the egg to find a meaningful symbol of the crucifixtion/resurrection story (and a treat!) contained therein.

 By the end, the kids were completely familiar with the most important story on earth...and completely excited about it!  Mission accomplished ;)

 Then we had a big "hunt" on the last day...such fun!
