Camping in the Hunting SHACK!!!

Packing up our "camping picnic" to head out!!!!! 

 Steve dropped off Big J and his friend to "set up" their campsite!!  

We're heading out to meet them in the woods....

 Woohoo!!!

He was the one that got this whole "Hunting Shack" idea started...so thankful for him!!

 Roasting hotdogs!!  And s'mores!! 

 Banana Splats (because this is not ice cream, folks...) consisting of a split banana, chocolate chunks, crumbled grahams and marshmallows..."Roasted" in tin foil in the fire...yummmmm!!!  

 Truly a heavenly fall night, crisp and clear under the stars together with friends and family!!! 

 "The SHACK"...

 So fun!!!!!  

 Then on to the next morning!!  

Daddy had a training going on all day also, so there were lots of hungry men to feed!!

 And while the boys waited for their turn on the range with their daddies, they kept VERY busy...!!!

 He has gotten VERY SERIOUS about writing...

 He has learned to write his own name and is so proud!!!  

 Book reports complete with presentations went very well this week!!

 Daddy built and stained a desk "extender" for the McMunchkins...it looks AWESOME! 

 James had to write a letter to a friend...and he was so pleased with himself when he surprised Joshua with "mail" in his mailbox...delightful shrieks!!

 They giggle a ton, but love to practice their Cotillion assignments!!
