Natalie and mom left all the McMen with lots of candy, Resurrection eggs, great eggspectations for the hunt and headed off to the big city for a CELEBRATION weekend!!
(They did indeed figure out how to hide-find-eat ALL said candy and more 😯😂)
We joined LOTS of family and friends in DC for the weekend to celebrate my brother and his wife's new baby girl, due very soon and it was SO MUCH FUN!!
We arrived to the hotel to meet my family in enough time to be useful with the flower arrangements😁which was fun!
Then we headed over the the venue for the baby shower with the fam!
My sis👆 and her sweet hubby chauffeured us around all weekend...
The venue was absolutely gorgeous and the weather was perfect!
The theme of the shower was BOOKS and everything was SO CUTE!!!
😍😍 Have you ever seen such a cute collection of BOOKS...I mean, COOKIES?!😍😍
Everyone brought tons of books to "stock the library" for baby! How precious is that?!
They also had baby's first set of ABC flashcards made up and you could color your letter and sign your name so that they were, by the end, a personalized set of flashcards handmade with love by friends and family...

The two Grandmothers put SO MUCH love, care and effort into making everything so special and welcoming!
It was wonderful to see so many family and friends there to celebrate baby girl!
It was quite a festive party!

There were so many fun games, activities and prizes!
Everything was absolutely perfect from the lovely venue to the perfect weather to the wonderful celebration!
And OF COURSE...the food and cakes were DELICIOUS!!!
What a wonderful bunch of ladies👇(and two cute lil' gentlemen)!!
And we are so blessed to be related to every single one of them!!

We had to clear out of the venue because they had a wedding coming in, so we just moved the party right out front and took over the street😂😂Lots of LOUD and lots of laughter...lots of FUN!!
All the men came over from the "man party" that they had and carried presents and helped clean up while we ladies talked and talked and....well....talked some more 😂
It was such a special treat to be with my (almost!) whole extended family to celebrate a new baby joining the clan!
Family is such a blessing!
