End of year recitals, woohoo!!

We headed over to the gorgeous Zion Springs Barn this week for James and Natalie's end-of-year performances!
Their teacher is exceptional and her venue, gorgeous...

James and Natalie were both phenomenal, of course...😎😁πŸ’₯

All of the Studio students were awesome!
We had a fun dessert party afterwards...the accompaniment was excellent too...😁😁
So glad to have our grandparents there to enjoy the performances!

The barn is so beautiful!! We are so grateful for another year of wonderful music!

More music to come!!

Girls weekend / Boys weekend!!

We said good-bye to our men and kicked off our annual girls weekend with a lunch and snack stop!

We arrived in Williamsburg to our gorgeous colonial village resort!!
It was an exceptionally beautiful weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool at the resort!

After we worked on our tans we headed out for our annual festive shopping trip!!
Natalie was at the wheel this year, so exciting!!
Smoothies and Acai bowls are a must before hitting the outlet mall....
LOTS of clothes trying on and laughter!
Even an outlet mall can be lovely at sunset!
We had so much fun shopping and headed out for a late dinner!!
We slept in Sunday morning and then headed back to all the men at home!

They had their own wonderful time in WV...

Pops is so good to take care of the boys at home!  All the men had a great weekend!
We were happy to be back together again and it makes our time together ever so sweet!

Monday was "Little boys and Grandparents Day"...so off to the park they went again, this time to a bigger and better park!!

So fun!

We are so blessed with such wonderful grandparents on both sides!!

Animals, animals, hikes and more animals!

Well all of this animal-ing started with Joshua pet sitting...
(Like, literally, with a pet sitting on himπŸ˜‚)
And then somehow moved to petting goats after church...

Which led to hikes with friends!

And on to MORE animals...some alive, some not-so-much...πŸ˜†

😎πŸ’₯This week's YHEC prep involved heading to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service National Conservation Training Center for a pelt and skull identification class, which was super cool...😎πŸ’₯
They had a blast identifying (and playing with) all kinds of animals!!
Taxidermist perfection...πŸ˜‚
It was a wonderful learning experience!

And if we couldn't get enough of animals...we headed to Pennsylvania to board NOAH'S ARK!!

It was a fun drive with Natalie at the wheel in the grand-parent-mobile!

NOAH, we've come a long way in 12 years since we saw you last!!

Sight and Sound is THE BEST and this show was as INCREDIBLE as ever!!!

This year was EXTRA SPECIAL because our dear friend was IN this awesome production and seeing her dance and sing on stage was AMAZING!!!
We met her after the show for a backstage TOUR and it was SO COOL!!!!
No photography is allowed during the show or backstage, but I can assure you, it was EPIC!!!
The kids favorite part was seeing the sets up close and walking on stage and down into the audience like the actors and animals do during the production.

Absolutely incredible experience!!

We loaded up our dear friend with our family and headed over to the famous SteamBoat Restaurant!!

It is a full Steamboat Experience on dry land and it was so fun!

I wish I had taken more pictures, everything is period perfect and I felt like we were on the Titanic.
It was beautiful and every detail was so spot on.
We tried on Amish Bonnets at the gift shop πŸ˜‚
It was a wonderful day and we are so thankful for the ARK of Christ and our sweet friend Josie!!
