 And he splinted the broken finger right up and hopefully Big J will be as good as new!

The birthDAY! Yes, it'a an ALL DAY affair!!

 Birthday dinner was super special...we had the deer steaks that he killed and dressed with his very own hands.  Proud moment!!

The making of THE great CAKE!!

James and I headed home from skiing a little early and got busy on cake baking!!

 (Well, he got busy on cake tasting, perhaps!)

 Then this GUY!!

He wanted his usual...cornbread and cake!

So, he made his cornbread and then got busy decorating his cake :)

You see, when you turn on the beaters, the powdered sugar flies everywhere and you don't want to miss a single bit!!

 Here's PopPop, in on all the action...LOL...I think he's dreaming of the ski slopes from yesterday?!

 Joshua is, and has always been, VERY specific about what he wants for his birthday, down to every last detail.  This year? Vanilla cake with baby blueberries and green frosting!!

(Every year it is some creative variation)

 Our sweet LoveyLicia helped with everyone's chores! 

 Hmmm...I suspect sore went on the plate and into mouths...but that's okay, it was a fun memory!
