On becoming a serious walker

Grab on to daddy's fingers and run like mad around the house in circles...
Stop often for kisses.

All while looking extremely cute.

Hangin' with the boys

Remember my cousins that both had baby Roberts three days apart?!
Well, we were finally able to see them both this past week - Susanne came in from Washington state - what fun!
They are both too cute!!

L to R: Julie, Tripp, Susanne & David:
All the boys:

"What? I don't get it."

"Hey, can I pick your nose?"
"What are you laughing at?"
Can you tell they luv having their pictures taken?!

(Joshua got restrained from nose-picking...ooops, we'll have to work on that.)

Yay, what fun!! Next we need to visit our other new cousins!

So many babies...! :)

Lovely ladies make lovely things!

THE most gorgeous birthday gifts EVER!!!

I found several skirts at a street fair a couple of years ago. Fell in love with them. Yet, never could find them again. So, Steve suggested that I contact these lovely ladies that I purchased some gorgeous aprons from awhile back that had started a new business, Marie-Madeline Studios, to see if they could replicate my skirt and make me some new ones. And BOY did they ever deliver!!!
I have to brag on them because they're AMAZING!!!

(All hand made from their awesome fabric collections!)

A HUGE thank you to the LOVELY Long ladies of Marie-Madeline Studio for my favorite skirts in the world. You all did an amazing job!!!

(And, you all are absolutely the sweetest family I've ever met!)

A new laundry day activity: sink sitting and teeth-brushing!

Oh, wait, he doesn't have any teeth.

Okay, okay, I know...am I a terrible mother or what?! I thought it would be fun for Joshua to sit in the sink while I did laundry! Except that he found some new "toys"...hmmm....

That is, after knocking everything down and trying to eat our soap...
"Hmmm, what's this? Daddy's toothbrush!"
"That looks fun..."
"I think I'll try it!"
"Yuk! That's prickly!"
LOL!!

The cutest giggler ever!

My serious face:

Plus some daddy tickles...

Means lots of giggles!!

But we do read together nightly as a family! :)

"Will work for food!"

We've been trying for some time now to capture Joshua's new-found skill of crawling (er, scooching). Except of course, he is waaaaay too fascinated with the camera to continue moving while actually on camera. What to do??

We hatched a plan and tempted him with food! Not surprisingly, he pulled out all the stops and charged forward. Hmmm, maybe he takes after me!

Off to class...Sew fun!

I've been wanting for several years now to revive my long-lost sewing skills, but time just hasn't allowed. We've been trying to figure out a "good time" in the last year or so for me to take a refresher course, but as these things go, there is rarely a "good time" for adding additional commitments to an already packed schedule. So, I finally just went for it this month!

Sew exciting!!
Hopefully, I will be able to use these skills to bless our family and others in the future, so the investment will be worth it!

Thanks to the world's best Daddy for encouraging me to pursue this, and of course, for watching our little one so that I can take this class this month!

Babysitting 101: take lots of naps.

Happy almost fall, everyone!!

We'll post some pics from our home soon...but for now, my hubby's GORGEOUS fall blog design will have to do :)
Thanks to the world's BEST...we love you!

My new favorite game, peek-a-boo!

This produces tremendous giggling fits!

Lovin' my TaGgiE

I don't get it. That is, why babies are fixated on tags! Give them a toy and they immediately go for the manufacturer's TAG...not the toy. Hmmm. So, someone got smart and decided to make a "tag blanket" - yes, that's right - and we actually paid money for this little piece of cloth sewn with a few dozen pieces of ribbon!
Call us crazy, but Joshua LOVES it!

He plays with all the different ribbons...It keeps him occupied forever!

The coolest thing ever.

Seriously, you moms out there gotta get one of these things! I thought baby wearing was too crunchy for me...but alas, I love it! I have struggled with the Bjorn thing because it hurts my back, but this wrap, hand-made by Sasha Wraps is the best thing ever!!

We love it!

Thanks, Corinna!
