BIG day for BIG J!!!

I had the privilege of escorting this fine young man to his very first Upright BASS Lesson! 

He was nervous and excited but handled it like a champ! 

 His new teacher was great and we really enjoyed his style.  

Mr. Jason usually starts with 4-5 sections, but Joshua blew through 13 in the first lesson!!  

He's gonna rock this thing!!!  So proud of him! 

Summer riding, Sundays & (too much) STUFF!

Steve recently took a trip with some of our neighbors down to southern WV and experienced a whole new level of WILD &WONDERFUL, riding 4 wheelers through all manner of terrain. 

He had a blast! 

 Steve with our dear friend and Property Manager, Mr. Fred...Mr. Fred has been asking Steve for eight years to come on this trip with him...and Steve finally made it happen!  

He had such a great time.

 We were busy at home purging, purging, purging!!  Woohoo!! 

 And with Daddy not at church, and the other song leader missing, our kiddos stepped up and played the music for church Sunday and it was so special!  We were very proud of them!  

 They did a great job!  

 We went out for a special lunch as a treat while Daddy was gone...and it was a celebration for all the cleaning out that we all did this week...YAY!!!!  

 

Making room for what matters most in life...Yes. Please!!!

Boats & Birthdays!

Huge splurge!!

Steve was out of town and we were invited to a fun and fancy Yacht birthday party - and my friends' husband couldn't go either, so we made a girls day of it and headed to DC for some birthday cruising!! 

My friend was running a tad late and got ready in the car...🤣🤣

See...she didn't really look like that when we arrived, LOL!! 

Our friend rented a Yacht to celebrate his wife's 40th birthday with her friends and family that had flown in from all over the country.  

So fun! 

 The views were lovely! 

 We had a great meal...

 Sweet, touching speeches and cupcakes were a definite highlight!!

 It was such a lovely day and such a loving gesture from her hubby!!  

  Here are the kiddos I was so worried about leaving...cackling like hyenas when I arrived home and telling me they'd had the greatest day ever!!

Beach Lake is the BEST!!

We headed to the beach lake again and this time with some good friends to join us!

 The kids had a blast in the sand and water all day!  

 We had the best day with the Fav's!!  

 And the most delicious part was stopping at the farmer's market on the way home...YUMMM!! 

Little man, the WILD driver!

I had to run to the grocery this week and little man accompanied me.  

Now we haven't been to this grocery store in many years, and I was expecting the kind of carts the other two had when they were little...

 Awwww...aren't they cuuuute?!!  

But it was an entirely new type and somebody LOVED IT!!!! 

 He was a wild and crazy driver, and had so much fun!!  

(Thankfully the store was empty...except for the cleaning robot, which he totally almost ran into 🤣)

 Then he came home to even more wild rides on the ladybug!! 

J built him a "Dragon" and he delighted in crashing it! 

Such fun, these boys!!! 

Shopping day & date with Little Big Man!

My sweet not-so-little boy joined me this past week for my once-a-month shopping trip and we made a date day of it! 

We ate at his favorite place, Wegmans...

 He is so fun and helpful!!  

I got so much done in so little time because he was right there to lift, haul and help...thanks, Big J!  You're the best!

We so enjoy Chick-Fil-A Cow day each year!!
