Vice President JD Vance spoke amidst many congratulations on he and his wife's fourth baby on the way!

Natalie and her friends had a great day joining thousands on the National Mall to advocate and be a voice for those who cannot advocate for themselves!

Unfortunately I did not get better after Joshua's birthday party and actually ended up in the hospital...it has been a very rough couple of weeks 😞

(Thankfully my wonderful husband was there to record it all 😂...Just kidding...he took amazing care of me for two straight weeks!! He is my HEROOOOO. Truly.) 

Everyone has been super helpful and pitched in at home to keep things moving along...

BEST. FAMILY. EVER.

 

I got lots of sweet snuggles as I recovered at home...

I was extra sad to miss the debut of 👇Ensemble 3 at church!!!

I KNOW they were AWESOME!! 👏👏

Twinning with friends...😆...the question was "who copied whom?"

 

Football after church... 

Mom missed this whole week, but everyone got where they needed to be and rocked it wherever they were!! 😁

Homeward Bound for the BIG 18th!!!!!!!!!!!

We made it to the airport just in time for our Friday morning 7:30am Theology class - three generations all logged in for learning together every week...so cool!

 

 

I barely made it home though with some kind of horrific sickness...so we sadly had to celebrate Joshua's 18th birthday in our bedroom...😳And just for the record, I did get him a cake, but it all got consumed without me or a single photo being taken😂

Everyone was such good sports about it while I was knocking on death's door over here...😕

 

Pops spoke beautiful, thoughtful and deeply encouraging words over Joshua as he crossed this threshold into manhood! 

(That's a four page speech there!...LOTS of tears all around😭🥰) 

 

LoveyLicia had Joshua's prayer journal from his youth, from her hand, bound - to help him remember God's faithfulness to him throughout his life...😭🥰 So, so, SO SWEET.  

What an INCREDIBLE, AWESOME, BOLD, STRONG, FAITHFUL, COURAGEOUS young man Joshua is...SO PROUD OF HIM!!!!  He loves the Lord with all of his heart, mind, soul and strength.  

We could not possibly be more blessed.

McM Girls trip, 2026!!! Sunshine and FUN!! Part 2...

 The sunrises were gorgeous!!!

And for those of us that did not rise at the crack of dawn...😁 

The view was equally GORGEOUS to the right or left off of our deck!!

This was the most wonderful way to start the day...

We had one super special outing during this trip and it began with a visit to my grandparents old condo at the end of the Island!  

💕 It was so cute to stop by there and I was flooded with childhood memories 💕

But we were out and about to make more family memories!

We had so much fun visiting my dad's brother and his awesome wife in their new home...they put on quite a spread for us! 

My aunt went all out with the feast! Amazing!

Their new home is beautiful and it was so special to visit!!

The food just kept coming...no proper Hughes gathering is complete without dessert...preferably ice cream, multiple kinds, of course... my aunt did not disappoint...😁

They were so gracious to host us and we were so blessed to get to spend an evening with them in Florida!!

So special!!

Meanwhile, back on the homefront...

I mean, can Pops do it all or what?!

Not only does he send us gals to Florida, he personally comes and takes over all the cooking and childcare for the week while we go!!!  

SO. BLESSED.
