North Carolina Wedding Extravaganza! Part 2, Rehearsal Day...

Natalie headed off for a day of wedding rehearsing, shopping, eating out and even a little dancing fun 😉

So mom and little man went to one of my favorite NC spots from when I was little and from when my older kids were little...

The Museum of Life and Science!

Dinosaurs meant Andrew was ALL IN!
We actually went with the main goal being riding the train and we were sad it was closed, so we played on the stationary caboose and enjoyed the rest of the museum instead (which ended up making for a VERY LONG day😅).
🦋🦋 The Butterfly House was lovely!🦋🦋

We went bear hunting in the "Explore the Wild" exhibit, but came up empty...
We had great fun playing with the sailboat pond!

The seed spreading and water gardens were a blast...

This guy is dino crazy, so he LOVED the dinosaur trail...
This 👇used to be Joshua's FAVORITE spot at the Museum when he was little 💞

This👇 was my favorite exhibit when I was little, the moon landing!

And since we were in the neighborhood, we took a swing by some old memories for mama!

My first Elementary School that I still remember so well...

My father's old house and my mother's old houses...

One looked way nicer than it used to and the other worse...  🤔

And since we were already so nearby, we had to stop at another of my favorite places in NC,

Duke Gardens!

He skipped down the path just like I did as a child...💞💞So sweet!

Aaah, such fond memories!
He wanted to walk the stone walls (NOT the stairs) just like I used to 💖
This stairway👆, and this one👇were two favorites in my mind and I combined them to design the front entrance of our current home!

Here is me👇 at this same fountain👆 with my parents and grandparents, almost 50 years ago!

My favorite magnolia tree!! It was the best to climb!
We fed the ducks in the pond, it was so sweet.
We had such a great day walking down memory lane together, making new memories!
Now on to the wedding excitement!!

So fun when our kids revisit the places we enjoyed when we were kids. Special.
